ABOUT D SARAH ART

I welcome you to my website, where each piece is a unique creation made to uplift the spirit!  When I am working in my home studio, in Baltimore, MD, I find that I am most inspired by two things: color and my faith.  In my collections of mixed media works, you will see a cohesion throughout with a vibrant color palette and expressive textures.  I create these changes in color and textural movement by painting with alcohol and inks.  I put a lot of myself into my work, letting my heart guide me as I design and paint with my faith at the forefront of my mind. 

The work in my shop ranges from original framed paintings to printed home goods to limited editions.  The abstract nature of my work makes for a beautiful print and inspired me to print functional art that you can use in your home.  I just love the idea of having a bag and blanket set that you could use with your family on a trip to the beach or a picnic at the park.  I hope that my expressive work can bring people together.

I wasn't always an artist - I re-discovered my love of art again at age 52, when my father's Alzheimer's caused him to forget his words.  I use art as a comfort and as a way to connect deeper to my Creator.  My goal in creating artwork is always to create something tangible that will uplift the soul of my patrons, brighten someone's day, and express how grateful I am as everyday brings new blessings.
